A Day at the Museum

Since I don’t usually have a day off, I went to the museum last Saturday. I had been salivating for quite a while to go at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) to see the famous Murakami event.

The exhibition is due on February 10 but I’ll be off to Vancouver that weekend and I don’t want to miss this thing. So after two grueling hours with my dentist, off we go to Tokyo town in LA where this museum is located.

It was just too bad because I forgot that cameras are not allowed inside. I was in fact planning to have myself caught on cam with those lovely mangas and Japanese art collections. And since no pictures are allowed from the inside, I got these pics online just to show you what was inside.

These two were crowd favorites. The Cowboy and Hiropon.

But she was my personal favorite. I didn't catch her name but she does look like Sailor Moon. Back at the gift shop Dobbol was planning to buy the skateboards but they were out. Yup, they were that popular. So we both took that cheap $10 book of postcards instead.

For you guys who like love anime art, you still have a whole week to see it. This is voyeurism at its finest. Now I think I know why we Asians like anime art. We had them since we were kids. But as I can see from the crowds, most caucasian folks liked it too.

Now I have to be content on this only souvenir pic taken. Where else but outside.
